Scarlett Marrone: “Thank you for changing my life”

In June, I got the incredible opportunity to travel to Atlanta and compete in the Future Bound by Junior Achievement competition. More specifically, the JA Social Innovation Challenge. Not only did I acquire the chance to work with Israeli students and iterate on a new business, but we also got to share this company, CalmPulse, with the world.

If there is one thing I learned from winning the Johnson & Johnson STEM Innovation Award (thank you again to those sponsors), it is that when you’re passionate about something and showcase the drive to pursue it, dreams of a “simple business” turn into a huge revolution, now our reality. I want to thank the staff & alumni at Junior Achievement for their commitment and dedication towards every student. I am also stuck in a state of endless gratitude towards my fellow colleagues, mentors, parents, and chaperones. You all mean so much to me, and every single human being perfectly displays what it’s like to make another feel like they belong.

Thank you to everyone for changing my life.
