Junior Achievement Accessibility Statement

Junior Achievement USA (JA USA) is committed to providing equitable access to JA USA services to JA USA students, volunteers, educators and other users. JA USA is continually working towards the following measures to optimize accessibility of our learning experiences:

  • Include people with disabilities in our design personas
  • Integrate accessibility into our product design and development process
  • Integrate accessibility into our procurement practices
  • Assign accessibility goals and responsibilities
  • Employ accessibility quality assurance methods

Our ongoing accessibility effort works towards being in line with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) version 2.2, level AA criteria as well as being compliant with the United States’ Section 508 standards. These guidelines not only help make technology accessible to users with sensory, cognitive and mobility disabilities, but ultimately to all users, regardless of ability.

Our efforts are just part of a meaningful change in making JA USA technology and content inclusive and accessible. We welcome comments on how to improve our technology’s accessibility for users with disabilities and for requests for accommodations to any JA USA technology services.

Junior Achievement USA has partnered with a third party, Accessible Web, a leader in user accessibility, to review our technology platforms and enhance compliance with WCAG guidelines. Accessible Web’s independent review uses modern testing methods to help optimize accessibility for all users of our platforms. By implementing their recommendations, we demonstrate our commitment to creating an inclusive digital environment.
