The Charles R. Hook Award recognizes a JA Area President who has demonstrated exceptional commitment to strengthening Junior Achievement’s ability to drive economic mobility for young people through leadership, dedication, and measurable impact. Throughout her career, Robin has exemplified those qualities, helping shape opportunity-filled futures for countless students while advancing the mission of Junior Achievement across the Rocky Mountain region.

Since becoming President & CEO in 1991, Robin has led JA-Rocky Mountain with a clear and enduring belief that Junior Achievement is not only about knowledge – it is about helping young people believe in what is possible for their futures. Under her leadership, JA-Rocky Mountain has grown from serving approximately 8,000 students annually to more than 119,000 students this school year, expanding access to hands-on, real-world learning experiences that build financial literacy, career readiness, entrepreneurial thinking, confidence, and optimism.

That growth is only part of Robin’s legacy. Throughout her tenure, she has remained focused on ensuring that JA grows in reach without losing sight of its purpose. She helped strengthen the organization’s foundation through board leadership, revenue growth, long-term sustainability, and a deep commitment to program quality and relevance.

Robin’s leadership has also helped JA-Rocky Mountain evolve to meet the changing needs of students and the economy. The development of the JA Free Enterprise Center and immersive experiences including JA Finance Park and JA Dream Accelerator reflect her long-held belief that young people should be able to experience their future – not just learn about it. Through these programs, students explore careers, make real-world decisions, understand trade-offs, and begin to see themselves as active participants in their communities and the economy. The JA Dream Accelerator’s adoption beyond the region and nationally is a testament to how Robin’s vision is helping shape the future of JA’s work across the country.

Robin’s leadership extends far beyond organizational achievements. She has cultivated strong partnerships across the business, education, and nonprofit sectors, bringing communities together around a shared goal of helping young people realize their potential. Through her ability to inspire collaboration and action, Robin has strengthened JA-Rocky Mountain’s position as a trusted leader in workforce readiness and experiential learning.

Just as importantly, Robin has fostered a mission-driven culture that reflects the very best of Junior Achievement. Her leadership style, grounded in integrity, purpose, and a deep commitment to service, has inspired JA staff, board members, volunteers, and partners alike.

As the recipient of the 2026 Charles R. Hook Award, Robin joins a distinguished group of JA leaders who have made significant contributions to advancing the organization’s mission. Notably, this is the second time she has received the award, having first been recognized by JA USA in 2006. The honor reflects not only a career of achievement, but a sustained commitment to innovation, excellence, and expanding opportunities for young people throughout her 35 years of leadership at JA-Rocky Mountain.
