JA-Rocky Mountain Earns National Honor for Top Performance

Junior Achievement-Rocky Mountain (JA-Rocky Mountain) has been awarded one of Junior Achievement USA®’s (JA USA) highest honors: the Four-Star Award. The purpose of the Star Award is to recognize staff and boards of JA Area offices that meet JA’s national standards in operational efficiency and through strong representation of the JA brand. Recipients must demonstrate growth in student impact and superior fiscal performance. Achievement against these criteria is certified through JA USA and audited financial statements.

JA-Rocky Mountain served over 68,000 students throughout Colorado and Wyoming during the 2022/2023 school year. In the spring of 2023, JA-Rocky Mountain opened their new educational facility, the JA Free Enterprise Center, which is home to two state-of-the-art learning labs, the Daniels Fund JA Dream Accelerator, and Robert & Judi Newman JA Finance Park, presented by Transamerica.

“These Star Award winners represent the best Junior Achievement has to offer,” said Jack E. Kosakowski, President & CEO of JA USA. “They set the standard by which Junior Achievement’s success is measured at the local level. Their commitment and dedication to young people is reflected in their achieving this honor.”

As an organization, JA understands that its effectiveness depends on how well JA Areas deliver the organization’s financial literacy, work and career readiness, and entrepreneurship programs in local communities.

“We are thrilled to receive the Four-Star Award,” said Robin Wise, President & CEO of JA-Rocky Mountain. “We thank our more than 2,400 classroom volunteers and corporate partners who joined with our board of directors and staff to empower thousands of young people to own their economic success, plan for their future, and make smart academic and economic choices.”
